Milica is a powerful performer with
an exquisite sense of character and depth of portrayal. She has won
several awards and scholarships such as the Serbian Singing Federation
scholarship and the Award for Vocal Excellence. She was honored to receive First Place in dell’Arte Opera
Company’s first ever "Osgood/dell'Arte Opera Ensemble Prize" Award
2013. Ms. Nikcevic has also been awarded grants from the Wagner Society of New York in 2012 and 2013, and is thrilled to announce she was just awarded another grant in 2014.
Milica has performed the title roles
in Carmen and The Medium, as well as Dama in Verdi's Macbeth, Federica in Luisa Miller, La Cieca in La
Gioconda, La Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, and
She was honored and thrilled to participate
in the Caramoor Music Festival in 2013.
She has had the privilege of working
with renowned artists such as sopranos Martina Arroyo and Pamela Kucenic, as
well as directors Yefim Maizel and Tito Capobianco to name a few.
She has recorded and performed in
diverse settings, including NYC, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Estonia, and
Greece, to name a few.
February 2014 held the premiere of
her first film role in Matthew Barney’s production, “River of Fundament,”
starring Paul Giamatti, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ellen Burstyn, John Buffalo Mailer,
and Elaine Stritch.
Ms. Nikcevic currently studies with
world renowned vocal instructor and technician, David L. Jones in New York City.
